Microsoft has officially released Windows 11, a new operating system that brings a simple interface, a new Windows Store design, improved performance, and multitasking experience. During the online launch event held on Thursday night (24/6/2021), Panos Panay, Microsoft’s Chief Product Officer, said, “Modern, fresher, cleaner, and beautiful.”
Here are ten new features of Windows 11 that users can experience once it is officially released at the end of November :
- Widget: Microsoft provides a Widget that can be accessed when the cursor is moved to the left of the screen. It displays various important information for users, such as weather, calendar, stock, and news, which can be personalized.
- Teams: Microsoft has integrated Teams into Windows 11, making it easier for users to connect and share files with just one click on the taskbar.
- Snap Layouts: This feature allows users to arrange multiple windows on the screen more easily.
- Desktops: This feature allows users to group tasks into several desktops. Users can have separate desktops for work, gaming, or school.
- Adaptive Screen: Supporting hybrid devices, Windows 11 provides an adaptive screen that can be rotated for portrait use.
- Pen, Gesture, and Voice Control: The operating system is designed for stylus pen use and has new haptic feedback.
- Gaming: Games created on the Direct X 11 platform (or higher) will be supported by Auto HDR, the same technology used on Xbox.
- Xbox Game Pass: Xbox Game Pass provides Windows 11 users with access to a large number of PC games and Xbox Cloud games.
- Windows Store: The Windows Store has been revamped, making it faster and easier to find new applications. The store also provides games and movies for download.
- Android Applications: Windows 11 provides support for Android applications. Microsoft has integrated it into the platform and can be used with other Windows programs.
