Vivo has finally announced the release date of their latest foldable devices, which is set on April 20th, 2023. In addition to the Vivo X Fold and Vivo X Flip, they will also introduce a new tablet, Vivo Pad 2.
Vivo X Fold 2 is the third generation of horizontal foldable phone from Vivo, succeeding X Fold and X Fold+. It is estimated that the smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, with an 8.03-inch E6 AMOLED foldable display and a 6.53-inch outer display.
On the other hand, Vivo X Flip will be the first clamshell foldable phone from the Chinese company. There haven’t been many rumors about this device, but it is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.
As for Vivo Pad 2, it is said to come with MediaTek Dimensity 9000 and a 12.1-inch IPS display, larger than the 11-inch display of the first generation Vivo Pad. In addition, its battery capacity has also increased to 10,000mAh, allowing for longer battery life.
Unfortunately, these three devices are likely to be released only in the Chinese market. There is no information yet about the global launch of Vivo X Fold 2, Vivo X Flip, or Vivo Pad 2, at least for now. We will have to wait for the announcement on April 20th for complete pricing and specifications.
