Exynos 2400: Samsung’s Upcoming Flagship Chipset with Advanced GPU and Ray Tracing Technology

Samsung is reportedly developing its latest flagship chipset, the Exynos 2400. According to leaks on Twitter, this chipset will feature the latest RDNA2-based graphics unit with 6 Work Group Processors (WGP), resulting in up to four times improved GPU computational performance compared to the Exynos 2200.

WGP, which stands for “Work Group Processor,” is part of the RDNA architecture developed by AMD. Each WGP includes 2 compute units (CUs), with a total of 12 units in the latest RDNA2 solution.

Samsung is also rumored to be incorporating Ray Tracing technology in its upcoming chipset, which could potentially revolutionize gaming on smartphones. It is expected that the Exynos 2400 will be used in Samsung’s next flagship device, the Galaxy S24. Other reports suggest that this flagship device may also feature an increased amount of RAM beyond the current standard for better multitasking and productivity.
