Samsung has officially confirmed that the Galaxy Unpacked event for the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 will take place in their home country of South Korea at the end of July. However, the latest rumors claim that Samsung will also hold a separate Unpacked event for the North American region (US or Canada).
This wild rumor comes from renowned leaker MySmartPrice. The rumored date for the event is said to be August 11, which is a familiar schedule for Samsung’s foldable device launches. Last year, the Galaxy Fold 4 and Flip 4 were released on August 10, with an online-only event.
In previous years, Galaxy Unpacked events have always been held abroad in countries like the United States, Spain, the United Kingdom, or Germany. This year will mark the first time that Galaxy Unpacked is hosted in South Korea. Although the exact date has not been disclosed, it is rumored to be on July 26.
It can be said that this year’s “Volume II” of Galaxy Unpacked has quite a few differences compared to previous ones. From the location, to the earlier date, and the recent rumors of a separate event. However, Samsung has not confirmed these rumors yet, so nothing is certain at this point.
In this second Galaxy Unpacked event of 2023, Samsung is expected to launch various new devices alongside the foldable phones. This includes the highly rumored Galaxy Tab S9 Series tablets and the Galaxy Watch 6 Series smartwatches.
