Google has started releasing the “Help me write” feature for Gmail on Android and iOS for users who have joined Workspace Labs. Help me write is an AI feature that assists users in composing emails.
Help me write was first introduced at last month’s I/O 2023 event, where Google also launched Workspace Lab. After being available on the Gmail desktop version, this AI feature is now being released on their mobile app as well.
Soon, a new menu called “Help me write” will appear in the bottom right corner when you want to write an email. Tap on the menu, enter the desired command, and then tap “Create” to ask the AI to compose the email for you.
Once the generated result is inserted into the email message, you can tap the “Refine” menu to modify the content of the email. For example, if you want the email to be more formal, shorter, longer, and so on.
Once you are satisfied with the provided email message, you can tap “Replace” to insert it into the email you are about to send.
Please note that the Help me write feature is currently available only to users who have registered for the Workspace Labs program. To join this Google AI experimental program, you can visit the following link.
