Job applicants may use Artificial Intelligence, such as ChatGPT, to optimize their resumes or CVs to make them more attractive and easily noticeable by potential employers. However, due to the openness of such technology, it’s not just job seekers who are using it.
Companies are also utilizing artificial intelligence technology to screen applicants, and AI interviewers are being introduced to reduce workload. As we all know, the number of job applicants can be significant, especially for highly reputable companies.
AI Interviewers Will Begin to Replace Human Interviewers
According to Resumebuilder, currently, 4 out of 10 companies worldwide are using AI interviewers to replace humans in conducting job interviews. They revealed that 43% of companies will adopt this technology starting in 2024.
The reasons cited include the significantly high recruitment efficiency, and 15% of these companies even autonomously select candidates without any human assistance.
When asked if they use artificial intelligence technology to screen new employees, 10% of them stated that they are currently using AI for interviews, 17% will start using it this year, and 17% will start next year.
Not All Companies Want to Rely on AI Technology
On the other hand, 32% of these companies indicated that they do not plan to use AI interviewers for reasons such as desiring direct face-to-face interaction with job applicants, considering it not cost-effective for the company, or perceiving too many potential ambiguous outcomes and high risks.
However, apart from the use of AI, many companies still choose to use Applicant Tracking Software (ATS), which is already widely used in the recruitment industry. They consider this software to be more reliable compared to this relatively new AI technology.
