There is a unique concept of future headphones presented by designer Olga Orel. Through her creation, the Futurehead, a futuristic-themed headphone, it can be seen that these headphones not only appear as regular headphones, but they also have a customizable display on the outer cup.
The main design of the Futurehead is inspired by Nathan Baldwin’s design in the 80s, where he designed headphones with built-in radios, giving them a retro look.
Orel designed the Futurehead with the aim of providing a unique futuristic headphone design that also offers enhanced personalization by allowing users to display whatever they want on the screen of the outer cup.
For example, users can display playlist visualizations, tracking information, album artwork, abstract images, or mood videos that match the rhythm of the music.
However, since this is just a concept, it is uncertain whether these headphones will be produced in the future. But it is not impossible that one day headphone designs could be as futuristic as this.
