AMD Rumored to Release Radeon RX 7800 and 7700 in Q3 2023

AMD is currently preparing new graphics cards, namely the Radeon RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT. Based on the RDNA 3 architecture, both are rumored to be launched in the third quarter of 2023.

According to Wccftech, the launch event is expected to coincide with Gamescom 2023, which will take place from August 23rd to 27th. This means that the Radeon RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT are likely to be released either by the end of August or early September.

However, it is not yet known whether AMD will only do a paper-launch for their latest graphics cards or a hard-launch similar to the Radeon RX 7600, which entered the market immediately after its announcement by AMD last May.

As of now, there are already RX 7600 and RX 7900 in the AMD Radeon RX 7000 Series graphics card lineup based on RDNA 3. Therefore, the release of RX 7800 and 7700 will fill the gap between these two models.

Unfortunately, there are no specific leaks about the specifications of these two graphics cards. However, it is estimated that the RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT will use the Navi 32 “RDNA 3” die.

The RX 7800 XT is expected to come with 16GB of memory, while the RX 7700 XT will have 12GB. These memory capacities are the same as their predecessors, the 6800 XT and 6700 XT.
