Sony is set to introduce their latest True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds, the WF-1000XM5, on Monday, July 24, at 9:00 AM PT. The flagship TWS from Sony is expected to bring improvements in noise-canceling capabilities.
Sony has not provided much information about the WF-1000XM5 yet. However, the tagline “For the silence. For the sound.” suggests that the Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) feature will be the main focus of Sony’s launch event.
Nevertheless, leaks and rumors about the new WF model have been circulating for several months. It is known that these TWS earbuds will have smaller buds, weighing only 5.9 grams, compared to the 7.3 grams of the previous generation WF-1000XM4, which was released in 2020.
Furthermore, the battery life is also expected to improve. When paired with its charging case, the WF-1000XM5 is said to have a battery life of up to 24 hours of usage. The leaks also suggest that these TWS earbuds will come equipped with Sony’s 8.4mm Dynamic Driver X technology and a custom audio processor.
For more detailed information, let’s wait for its official launch on July 24. Unfortunately, Sony has not provided information about the location or link to watch the launch event. So, it is likely that Sony will announce it directly through their social media channels at 9:00 AM local time.
