Just a few hours ago, we reported on Tecno’s upcoming Spark 20 making an appearance on the Google Play Console. Now, it’s time for Infinix, Tecno’s sister brand, to take the stage as the Infinix Smart 8 has also been spotted on the Google Play Console.
The listing has unveiled some of its key specifications, albeit with a low-quality image showing its front panel.
The Infinix Smart 8 is equipped with 3GB of RAM and runs on Android 13. It is powered by the Unisoc T606 SoC, which implies two significant points: it won’t support 5G, and it is expected to come at an affordable price point. The phone’s display features a resolution of 720×1612.
Additional details were previously revealed through its FCC certification, indicating a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 10W fast charging. The Infinix Smart 8 will have dimensions of 164 x 76 x 9 mm.
As of now, it remains uncertain when Infinix plans to officially launch the Smart 8. However, historically, once a new phone appears on the Google Play Console, its official launch typically follows within a few weeks. To provide some context, the Smart 7 was released in February, and the Smart 7 HD followed in April. Interestingly, both of these models share the same screen resolution as the Smart 8, despite the numerical difference in their names.
