The European model (SM-F956B) has made an appearance in the database, and what do you know? It’s rocking the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Previously, there were some murmurs about the Galaxy Z Fold FE, the more affordable version, possibly using a mix of Snapdragon and Exynos chips. But according to a report by The Elec, Samsung is keeping it consistent globally with Snapdragon for its flagship Galaxy Z Fold6. The latest findings from Geekbench support this claim, indicating Samsung’s commitment to ensuring its premium foldable maintains top-notch performance.
This European model comes packed with 12GB of RAM, which seems to be the standard configuration. However, the big question remains: will there be other RAM options available? The Z Fold5 only offered a 12GB RAM variant, and there haven’t been any hints about a 16GB model for the Z Fold6 so far. Given that the Z Fold FE is also expected to come with 12GB of RAM, Samsung might consider introducing a higher capacity option to keep the flagship device ahead of the curve.
In terms of software, the Galaxy Z Fold6 is expected to debut with One UI 6.1 (or possibly 6.1.1) layered on top of Android 14. Samsung has also committed to providing seven years of support, a promise that aligns with its commitment to the S24 series.
And here’s an interesting tidbit: the Geekbench scores for the US and European versions of the Z Fold6 are different. But let’s not jump to conclusions—pre-release units often yield varied scores, especially if the tests were conducted under different performance modes.
