iPhone 16 Pro Max to Feature 40% Thinner Display Bezels

Apple is rumored to be making a major design tweak with the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro Max, reducing its display bezels by a stunning 40%. This change would give the iPhone 16 Pro Max an even sleeker, more immersive look, further enhancing the device’s already impressive aesthetic.

Reports suggest the bezels on the iPhone 16 Pro Max will measure just 1.15mm thick, compared to the 1.71mm bezels on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. This reduction makes the iPhone 16 Pro Max the phone with the narrowest bezels in the world, even surpassing competitors like the Samsung Galaxy S24. These slimmer bezels not only enhance the device’s appearance, giving it a sleek, nearly borderless display, but also potentially increase the screen size without significantly altering the overall dimensions of the phone.

With much thinner bezels, users can expect a larger screen-to-body ratio, allowing for a more expansive display without increasing the overall size of the phone. However, despite the reduced bezel size, the Dynamic Island (the pill-shaped cutout for Face ID and the front camera) will still occupy part of the screen, so the increase in usable display space might not feel drastic.

The thinner bezels may also pose some ergonomic challenges, such as more accidental touches around the edges, but they contribute to the premium aesthetic Apple is aiming for in this next-generation iPhone.

As more information leaks about the iPhone 16 Pro Max, excitement is building around this sleek new look and how it will set the device apart from its predecessors. Stay tuned for more updates as the official release date draws closer!
