Casio is celebrating its 50th anniversary with the launch of a special edition watch series, marking five decades of innovation and style. The collection combines the brand’s classic designs with modern advancements, making it a perfect tribute to Casio’s legacy.
One of the standout models, the Casiotron TRN50ZE-1A, draws inspiration from Casio’s very first digital watch, launched back in 1974. This model features a full stainless steel design with modern upgrades, including Tough Solar technology, water resistance up to 50 meters, and Multi-Band 6 radio time adjustment. It’s also equipped with Bluetooth connectivity for syncing with smartphones, time adjustment for 39 cities, a 1/100 stopwatch, and an auto-calendar extending to the year 2099.
Other models, like the Baby-G BGD-S565ZE-1, Edifice EFS-S640ZE-1A, and Pro Trek PRW-6900ZE-1, are also expected to launch in the U.S., offering similar specs but with varying designs to cater to different tastes.
Two models, the Casiotron TRN50ZE-1A and the G-SHOCK GMC-B2100ZE-1A, are already available, priced at US$600 and US$930, respectively. The remaining three models are likely to hit the market by the end of 2024.
This limited edition release will not only attract Casio collectors but also casual fans, as it brings together the best of the brand’s history with modern tech enhancements.
