Anbernic RG Nano Handheld Console Launched, Small Size with Impressive Specifications

The Anbernic RG Nano has finally been released as the smallest handheld gaming console ever. This device resembles the iconic mini Game Boy and comes with a variety of retro games. Let’s take a closer look.

With dimensions of 2.8 inches x 1.7 inches x 0.7 inches, the new RG Nano is a compact and tiny gaming console. Weighing only 153 grams, you can easily carry it on a keychain and even fit it into your pocket or handbag.

Despite its small form factor, it is still a fully functional gaming console featuring a D-Pad, action buttons, a color display, and even shoulder buttons.

In particular, this is not the company’s first retro handheld gaming console as they previously launched the Anbernic RG35XX earlier this year.

The RG Nano features a small 1.54-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 240px and is powered by a 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A7 processor.

This chipset is paired with 64MB DDR2 memory and uses a microSD card slot that supports storage up to 512GB (the company only sells options of 64GB or 128GB).

With these specifications, it is clear that this console is not high-end, but for its size, it can easily run NES, GBA, and even PS1 era games. It runs on a Linux-based operating system with support for emulators as well.

Other notable features include an internal speaker, a USB Type-C port, and a 1,050mAh battery that can last up to 2.5 hours.

For those unfamiliar, Anbernic first launched this mini console in May 2023, and it is currently available for purchase at a price of $66 USD.

However, the company offers a $6 USD discount for those who pre-order before June 15th. Speaking of its design, it is made using aluminum alloy and comes in various color options such as dark purple, blue, and red.
