This new feature is strictly opt-in, meaning it only works if users voluntarily share their location with friends or family. On one hand, it’s undeniably useful—whether for meeting up with someone or ensuring a loved one’s safety.
However, it also raises serious privacy concerns. The idea that our real-time location can be so easily tracked through our devices might make some people uncomfortable.
