Asus is set to globally launch the Asus ROG Phone 7 on April 13, 2023. The latest gaming phone, also known as the ROG Phone 7, will serve as the successor to the ROG Phone 6.
The standard variant of the Asus ROG Phone 7 has been spotted on various certification sites including TENAA, 3C, and Geekbench. Now, an informant named Abhishek Yadav has revealed that only the ROG Phone 7 and 7 Ultimate will be launched, and there will be no Pro variant.
He also leaked the key specs of the Asus ROG Phone 7 and 7 Ultimate. According to Yadav, both of these latest gaming phone models will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
These latest gaming phones will also run on Android 13. The Asus ROG Phone 7 and 7 Ultimate are also expected to come with the same triple rear camera setup.
As reported by Gizmochina on Sunday (March 26, 2023), the camera of the Asus ROG Phone 7 and 7 Ultimate will consist of a 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor paired with a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens and an 8MP macro unit. On the front, there will be a 32MP camera.
Asus ROG Phone 7 and 7 Ultimate will have a thickness of 173 x 77 x 10.3mm and a weight of 239 grams. The only difference between the two phones is in their RAM and storage configurations.
The leaker also added that the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate will pack 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
The 3C certification list for the standard ROG Phone 7 variant reveals that the phone will come with support for 65W fast charging.
Meanwhile, the TENAA certification for the smartphone mentions that the battery of the Asus ROG Phone 7 and 7 Ultimate will have a capacity of 5,850mAh. However, Asus is likely to market the latest gaming phone’s battery as 6,000mAh.
