Benchmarking the Apple A17 Pro: AnTuTu Score Revealed!

Previously, we caught a glimpse of the Apple A17 Pro’s performance through Geekbench leaks, but now it’s time to delve into its AnTuTu benchmark score.

The leaked information comes in the form of a screenshot displaying the AnTuTu benchmark score of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, powered by the A17 Pro SoC. Impressively, this system-on-a-chip delivers an outstanding total score of 1,641,883 points on AnTuTu.

To put this into perspective, last year’s A16 Bionic SoC scored 1,474,011 points. Notably, the A17 Pro’s score also nearly rivals that of the Apple M1 chip, found in Apple’s laptops and iPads, which achieved a score of 1,754,456 points.

Breaking down the scores, the A17 Pro garnered an impressive CPU score of 392,643 points. Additionally, its GPU score reached an impressive 597,734 points, marking a substantial 20% improvement compared to its predecessor, the A16 Bionic.

Moreover, the A17 Pro excels in memory testing, with an outstanding score of 306,164 points. This performance solidifies its position as one of the top-performing system-on-a-chip designs in the highly competitive smartphone market.

Despite these impressive numbers, the A17 Pro-equipped iPhone 15 Pro Max still falls short of surpassing certain Android counterparts. In the AnTuTu smartphone rankings, it outperforms the Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro+, which achieved a score of 1,632,859 points. However, it has yet to dethrone the current leader, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro, boasting a score of 1,648,735.

It’s important to note that while these benchmark scores offer valuable insights, direct comparisons between Apple’s closed ecosystem and Android devices should be made cautiously. Apple’s tight integration of hardware and software allows for unique optimizations, making it challenging to draw definitive conclusions from benchmark scores alone.

Nonetheless, these results underscore Apple’s commitment to continuously improving the performance of its SoCs with each new generation, a trend consistently demonstrated across various benchmarking platforms.
