For those of you who are eagerly waiting for the successor to Samsung Galaxy Buds Live, it seems that this won’t happen anytime soon. The latest information suggests that instead of launching a new Buds Live product, Samsung may be more focused on developing their Galaxy Buds 3.
According to a report from tipster @chuvn8888 on Twitter, the South Korean company has canceled the development and design for Buds Live. Instead, Samsung is said to be preparing to launch Galaxy Buds 3 in the near future.
Since its initial release a few years ago, Galaxy Buds Live has been known for its unique earbud design, resembling a bean shape and positioned in the concha part of the ear. Unlike other true wireless earbuds, Buds Live does not have silicone ear tips that fully block external sounds. However, some users prefer this type of design, as it allows them to hear ambient sounds while having conversations with others.
Rumors suggest that Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 will be unveiled at the second part of the Galaxy Unpacked event in 2023, where Samsung is also expected to announce its latest lineup of foldable smartphones, including Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5, as well as the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series tablet.
