Ahead of its launch, detailed specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 are circulating online. The Galaxy Watch 6 Series is one of the devices expected to be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 26. It is speculated to come in two models: the “standard” Watch 6 and the Watch 6 Classic. Let’s take a look at the leaked specifications before its official release.
As revealed by SnoppyTech, the Galaxy Watch 6 will be available in two size variants, 40mm and 44mm. The 40mm variant will feature a 1.31-inch Super AMOLED display with a sapphire coating, while the 44mm variant will be slightly larger with a 1.47-inch dimension.
Both variants will offer 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Additionally, they will come with various supporting features, including Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, LTE connectivity via e-SIM, heart rate monitor with ECG, blood oxygen sensor, temperature sensor, accelerometer, barometer, magnetometer, gyroscope, and compass.
Regarding battery capacity, the 40mm model will have 300mAh, while the 44mm model will have a larger 425mAh battery. As for the chipset, previous reports suggest that the Galaxy Watch 6 Series will be powered by the Exynos W930.
In terms of specifications, both the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic models are very similar, except for the battery. However, what sets the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic apart is the presence of a physical rotating bezel, which was absent in the Galaxy Watch 5 Classic. Additionally, the Classic model is likely to be available in 43mm and 44mm size variants.
