The upcoming Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, scheduled for their debut on October 4, have been the subject of extensive leaks, giving us a comprehensive look at what Google has in store for its top-tier smartphones in 2023. However, one crucial detail had remained elusive – the visual presentation of the new color options.
The Pixel 8 Pro is poised to hit the market in three distinct color variants: Obsidian, Porcelain, and Sky Blue. Interestingly, the Sky Blue finish recently surfaced in live images of the Pixel 8a. Notably, the Obsidian colorway is carried over from the Pixel 7 Pro, offering a sense of continuity.
Meanwhile, the standard Pixel 8 will be available in Peony Rose, Gray, and Obsidian. Among these choices, Obsidian is the only color that maintains its presence from the previous generation.
Beyond the exciting color updates, both the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro boast a more rounded design, a departure from the sharp corners seen in the Pixel 7 family. Furthermore, the camera sensor arrangement has undergone a transformation on the Pixel 8 Pro, with all the cameras now positioned behind a single glass panel, a notable departure from the previous two-glass design.
