The date for Google’s highly-anticipated Pixel 8 Series launch has been officially unveiled – mark your calendars for October 4, 2023. Alongside the new phones, Google is also expected to introduce the Pixel Watch 2 at the same event. Notably, numerous international media outlets and tech influencers have already received invitations to this grand Google event, which will be hosted offline in the vibrant setting of New York City, USA.
For those unable to attend in person, Google will provide a live stream of the Pixel 8 Series launch event, scheduled to kick off at 10:00 AM local time on October 4th. However, as of now, the streaming link has yet to be revealed.
Google’s invitation didn’t explicitly mention the Pixel 8 Series and Pixel Watch 2 launches but rather alluded to the introduction of “the latest additions to their Pixel portfolio.” It’s no secret, though, that these two devices are the primary attractions.

Interestingly, the event’s timing closely aligns with last year’s launch of the Pixel 7 Series in October. However, leaks and rumors about the Pixel 8 Series and Pixel Watch 2 have been circulating eagerly, particularly over the past few months.
The Pixel 8 Series will maintain a design reminiscent of its predecessors, but with a notable shift: both models will sport flat screens. Under the hood, they will be powered by the cutting-edge Tensor G3 chipset, and the Pixel 8 Pro is rumored to offer significant camera improvements.
Turning attention to the Pixel Watch 2, it’s expected to retain the familiar design language of the original Pixel Watch. The real upgrades, however, will lie in its internal components, with the watch set to utilize the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset and potentially featuring slimmer bezels for a sleeker look.
