Instagram has finally released support for GIFs in comments for all users globally. Previously, GIF comments were only available when replying to Stories, but now users can also add GIF comments to posts and Reels.
GIF comments were initially seen on Instagram in February. However, at that time, it was only in the testing phase and limited to a few users on the iOS platform. Now, all users can experience it.
To access it, simply tap on the new icon on the right side of the comment box to open the Giphy library, and from there, you can choose a suitable GIF to embed in your comment. Of course, you can still add regular comments in the form of text and emoticons.
