Intel Confirms Rebranding Core i Series to Core Ultra

Evolving Performance: The Transition to Core Ultra

The speculation surrounding Intel’s intention to rebrand the “Core i” Series to “Core Ultra” has been confirmed. While it remains unclear whether this name change will exclusively affect mobile devices or extend to desktops as well, hints suggest a broader scope.

A leaked benchmark result from the game Ashes of the Singularity showcases a mobile processor dubbed “Core Ultra 5 1003H.”

Though not explicitly stated, the confirmation seems to have come from Intel’s Global Communications Director, Bernard Fernandes, via his Twitter account.

Fernandes cited Intel’s pivotal moment in the development of their latest processor products, particularly the upcoming launch of Meteor Lake processors, as the reason behind this move.

If the schedule holds, further details regarding this rebranding initiative are expected to be unveiled during the launch of the Meteor Lake processors, slated for the second quarter of 2023.
