A new processor called Intel Core Ultra 7 1003H has recently appeared in benchmark results. This leak further strengthens the speculation that there will be a name change for the Intel Core i-Series processors to Intel Core Ultra-Series.
It is suspected that the leaked early benchmark results on the PugetBench website were accidentally uploaded before the embargo date. Upon investigation, the page containing the benchmark data is no longer accessible.
Previously, benchmark results using a game with the Intel Core Ultra 5 1003H processor also garnered attention. Intel then confirmed that there will be a branding change in the upcoming Meteor Lake processor generation.
However, they have not specifically explained what naming convention they will use. Furthermore, it is still unknown whether this will only affect high-end processors like the H-Series SKUs or the entire Core i-Series.
Regardless, the benchmark results for the Core Ultra 7 1003H in Puget System Lightroom Classic are considered average, with a score of only 534.5 points. This result is not far from the older Core i7-8665U processor, which scored 502 points. It appears that the tested Ultra 7 processor is a prototype model.
The announcement of Intel’s latest generation Meteor Lake processors is planned for the second quarter of 2023. So, let’s wait for further updates.
