Following the success of the iQOO 11, a sub-brand of Vivo, it is known that they are preparing for the next generation, namely the iQOO 12. This flagship smartphone is expected to be released in late 2023.
According to Digital Chat Station (DCS), the iQOO 12 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This latest flagship chipset from Qualcomm will be introduced in October.
Furthermore, DCS also revealed that iQOO will pair it with up to 16GB of RAM. The internal storage options offered will be 512GB or 1TB.
In terms of the display, the iQOO 12 will feature a 2K AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. However, the screen size still remains a mystery.
The main camera is said to have a resolution of 50MP. However, the type of sensor, as well as the configuration and placement of the iQOO 12’s cameras, are still unknown.
Previously, DCS leaked that the battery capacity of the iQOO 12 will be 5,000mAh, with a charging speed of 200W with a cable and 50W wirelessly.
For reference, the iQOO 11 made its debut in December 2022 with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. They then launched a refresh by introducing the iQOO 11 a while ago.
Most likely, the iQOO 12 will also be introduced around the same month. It could even be earlier considering Qualcomm’s announcement of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is one month ahead of the previous generation.
