Computer programmers use many terms that are meaningful only to themselves and their colleagues. To those who are not familiar with computers and programming, these words mean something else or nothing at all. 1. 1GL
1GL stands for First Generation Programming Language. It’s actually a machine-level programming language written in one and one zero. These are programs that can be directly understood by the computer’s central processing unit. 2. Abandon ware
Abandon ware is software that is no longer used, supported or sold by its respective publisher. These types of software may not be resold or redistributed to end users, unless provided as freeware.

ActiveX are programs that use the Visual Basic programming language. It is basically created for the active contents of software that are commonly used by other applications already installed or existing in the computer. Sometimes it even shares things used by the operating system itself. ActiveX is responsible for the interactive features of web programs.

4 .Beta Version
When a piece of software, website or app is marked as beta or beta version, it means that the version is the first release. This is a program that combines the basic features and requirements of the software. At this point, the software is still untested. The beta version of the software is usually a trial version.

5 .DirectX
DirectX is a program provided by Microsoft. It is a collection of various multimedia applications and programming interfaces. It is integrated into the Windows operating system. DirectX is mainly used in gaming applications.

6. Emulation
Emulation is a term that refers to the ability of a given program to imitate another device or program. There are different levels of simulation. Emulators are usually made for video game devices so that they can be played on the desktop.

7 .Firmware
Firmware refers to software embedded in a device or hardware. Firmware typically contains a set of protocols that the hardware must run in order for the hardware to function properly with other devices to which it is connected.

8. HTML
HTML is a hypertext markup language. This is the language used by the website.It’s a programming language that has a way of describing different parts of the generated text. It can specify the text to be used as paragraphs, texts, titles, and lists.

9. Java
Java is an object-oriented programming language. Sun Microsystems has developed this software and it can be said that it is similar to a C++ program.However, it has been structured to avoid the flaws of the latter. This is also widely used on the World Wide Web.

10. Linux
Linux is an example of operating software such as Windows and Mac Os. But unlike those two programs, Linux is a free and open source program.Anyone can use the software for redistribution and modification.
