Limited Edition Nokia XR21 Commences Production in the European Union

HMD Global had previously announced its plans to establish a 5G smartphone manufacturing facility in Hungary, Europe. The very first 5G smartphone to roll off this assembly line is the exclusive Nokia XR21 limited edition, with a production run limited to just 50 units, and a mere 30 units available for sale.

This strategic move to shift the manufacturing of Nokia’s 5G smartphones was disclosed earlier, and production is set to kick off in the third quarter of 2023. This initiative is a response to meet the growing demands in the European market, while also serving as a conscientious effort to reduce the company’s carbon footprint and ensure stringent security protocols.

The Nokia XR21 bears a distinct serial number and graces consumers in the elegant Frosted Platinum hue, packaged meticulously in specially designed boxes.

Originally introduced in May 2023, the Nokia XR21 makes a return with a rugged design and certifications that include military-standard MIL-STD-810H and an IP69K rating, guaranteeing resilience against water, dust, and harsh impacts.

Featuring a 6.49-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, the device is safeguarded by the robust Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Under the hood, it packs the power of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset, paired with a 64 MP primary camera, an 8 MP ultrawide lens, a robust 4800mAh battery with 33W fast charging capabilities, and runs on the Android 12 operating system.
