Listen Up! Chrome for Android Now Reads Articles Aloud

Hey there! I saw some news that Chrome for Android finally got a text-to-speech (TTS) feature! This means you can ditch reading those long articles and have them read out loud to you instead. Super handy if your eyes get tired easily, or if you’re someone who likes to listen to things while you do other stuff, like cooking or commuting.

The feature works on webpages with lots of text, and once the page is loaded, you’ll see a new option called “Listen to this page” in the three-dot menu (you know, the one with all the little dots stacked on top of each other). Just tap that, and Chrome will start reading the article to you in a smooth voice.

And it gets even better! You can adjust the reading speed to your liking – slow it down if you want to savor the words, or speed it up if you’re short on time. There are also different voice options available, so you can pick one that you find easy and pleasant to listen to.

Overall, this is a great addition to Chrome for Android. It makes reading on the web more accessible for people with visual impairments, and it’s also a convenient way to multitask and stay informed while you’re on the go. Pretty cool, right?
