Marshall Announces Emberton III and Willen II with Battery Upgrades

Marshall has unveiled its latest portable speakers, the Emberton III and Willen II, both featuring significant battery life enhancements. These updates aim to improve user experience by extending playtime and speeding up charging capabilities.

The Emberton III, the successor to the Emberton II, now boasts a battery life of up to 32 hours, an increase from the previous 30-hour duration. In contrast, the Willen II offers up to 17 hours of battery life, up from its predecessor’s 15 hours. These improvements make both speakers more reliable for extended listening sessions.

Charging efficiency has also seen advancements. The Emberton III can now provide 6 hours of playtime with just 20 minutes of charging, while the Willen II offers 5.5 hours of use from the same quick charge. This enhancement ensures users spend less time tethered to a power source and more time enjoying their music.

Despite these updates, the core specifications of the speakers remain largely unchanged. The Emberton III continues to feature a wireless stereo setup with a 2-inch 10W full-range driver and two passive radiators. The Willen II, being more compact, has a mono configuration with the same 2-inch 10W full-range driver and two passive radiators.

Both models support Bluetooth 5.3 LE, which is more energy-efficient and economical. They also include Auracast technology and have an IP67 rating, making them resistant to water and dust to a certain extent. The design of the new models maintains the premium synthetic leather finish seen in their predecessors and is available in Black or Cream. Additionally, the Emberton III now features a built-in microphone for voice calls, a new addition for this model.

Marshall has set the price for the Emberton III at £149 and the Willen II at £99, as stated on their official website. These upgrades reflect Marshall’s commitment to enhancing the portability and functionality of their speaker lineup while preserving their signature design.
