Nokia has unveiled two new smartphones, the Nokia G310 5G and Nokia C210, in the United States, catering to the entry-level market segment. These releases by Nokia’s manufacturer, HMD Global, offer affordable options for consumers, particularly in the US market.
Nokia G310 5G
The Nokia G310 5G comes equipped with a Snapdragon 480+ SoC, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage, ensuring a smooth performance and ample storage capacity. Its 6.56-inch display boasts a 720p resolution and features a waterdrop notch housing an 8MP selfie camera.
On the photography front, the Nokia G310 5G boasts a triple-camera setup at the back, headlined by a 50MP main camera with autofocus. Complementing this are 2MP depth and macro sensors. Additional features include AI filters for enhancing photos and Nokia’s OZO Audio technology, promising an enriched visual and auditory experience for video recordings.
Running on a 5,000mAh battery with support for 20W fast charging, the smartphone runs on the Android 13 operating system. It also retains the traditional 3.5mm audio jack, includes a micro SD slot, and offers splash protection. Furthermore, the device is 5G-enabled, ensuring connectivity to the latest networks.
A notable aspect of the Nokia G310 5G is its QuickFix design, allowing users to easily repair the device themselves. This aligns with Nokia’s commitment to sustainability, a notion they have advocated for in recent times. The smartphone is available in Blue and will hit the market on August 24th, retailing at $186.
Nokia C210
Catering to an even more budget-conscious audience, the Nokia C210 features a design closely resembling the G310. Powered by a Snapdragon 662 SoC, it offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Its 6.3-inch display maintains a 720p resolution and benefits from Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Photography-wise, the Nokia C210 incorporates a 5MP front camera and a dual rear camera system. The primary sensor is 13MP, accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor.
Running on a 3,000mAh battery and the Android 13 OS, the smartphone includes a 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.1, and Nokia’s OZO audio technology. However, its connectivity is limited to 4G networks.
Priced at a wallet-friendly $109, the Nokia C210 will be available for purchase starting from September 14, 2023, catering to the US market through online channels.
