Nokia XR21, a rugged smartphone with IPX69K

Nokia has just launched its first rugged smartphone with the release of the Nokia XR21. Uniquely, this smartphone has adopted the military standard MIL-STD-810H and IPX69K certification. This is currently the highest rating standard, allowing the smartphone to withstand high pressure or even extreme temperatures.

For its basic specifications, the Nokia XR21 has a 6.49-inch IPS LCD panel screen with Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and has been coated with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The main screen is also said to be controllable even when wearing gloves or in wet conditions.

Its main processor uses the Snapdragon 695 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The rear camera uses a 64 MP + 8 MP ultrawide resolution sensor, while the front camera uses a 16 MP resolution sensor.

For other features, the Nokia XR21 has a 4800mAh battery with support for 33W charging power. Unfortunately, this device still uses the Android 12 operating system, but is guaranteed to have at least 4 years of security updates and 3 years of OS updates.

The Nokia XR21 will be available in the European market with a price of around £499 per unit.
