It’s been almost a year since the launch of the RTX 4000, the graphics card we know well from NVIDIA with the codename Ada Lovelace. This time, the green camp is preparing for the next generation of graphics cards that are said to be more proficient in artificial intelligence (AI) tasks. Is that true?
Will the Successor of RTX 4000 be Released in 2025?
If we were to guess who would be the successor to Ada Lovelace, alias the RTX 4000, there is a high possibility that it would be either Blackwell or Hopper who will take the lead in NVIDIA’s next graphics card.
Based on leaks we found from HardwareLuxx, it is highly likely that there will be no new graphics card release from the green camp this year, but rather a planned release in the following year, 2025.
If we look at the image above, it is likely that this year we will only be presented with a “refresh” version of the graphics card that has been launched since 2022. Whether it’s a SUPER or Ti variant, it may come with larger memory or VRAM.
More Focus on AI?
This possibility is closely related to the trend of artificial intelligence (AI), where it motivates NVIDIA to maximize sales of the RTX 4000, which is currently not highly sought after by gamers and creators because it focuses more on AI processing.
This means that in the future, NVIDIA is likely to focus on introducing graphics cards that are specifically designed to facilitate consumers in utilizing artificial intelligence without relying on third-party solutions.
While there have been some hopes that NVIDIA has at least fulfilled, we can only wait for the successor generation to be more affordable and meet gamers’ expectations without issues like melted cables, and so on.
