Xiaomi seems to be aiming to surpass Samsung and iPhone in terms of smartphone cameras.
This is still a question, as Xiaomi is still seen as a Chinese manufacturer that lacks some features. However, Xiaomi’s performance cannot be underestimated when it comes to challenging flagship smartphones like Samsung and iPhone.

Having the popular 1-inch sensor Sony IMX 989 is a great feature and Xiaomi has had more than a year to optimize it, as this is the same sensor used in the Xiaomi 12S Ultra and Xiaomi 13 Pro flagships.
Having two telephoto cameras is also a big advantage, as the only other mainstream phone with such a feature is the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
In addition, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra has a unique and attractive design with its signature white color and leather-like finish, something never seen before on a phone.
One Missing Feature
There is disappointing news about the imaging aspect of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
Initially, Xiaomi may have had one new and amazing feature in the form of close-up zoom with the telephoto camera that allows for the best macro shots in the industry. It appears that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra may use the same 3.2X zoom and possibly the same sensor, but that special feature may not be available on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
This could be disappointing, but it can be imagined that the company wants to maintain the appeal for the Xiaomi 13 Pro that will be sold throughout the year.
