The Oppo Find X8 series, featuring the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro, has been officially introduced with several upgrades in design, camera, and performance. One of the standout elements is the new camera module design, called the “Cosmos Ring,” which gives these phones a distinct look. The Find X8 model comes with three cameras: a 50MP main camera using Sony’s LYT-700 sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens with ISOCELL JN5 sensor and autofocus, and a 3x periscope telephoto lens with an IMX882 sensor (1/1.95”).
The Find X8 Pro steps up the game with an upgraded 50MP primary sensor, the Sony LYT-808, and a dual periscope system. This includes the original 3x periscope lens and a new 6x periscope zoom with the IMX858 sensor (1/2.51”) and an f/4.3 aperture, both equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS). The ultra-wide camera on the Pro version retains the ISOCELL JN5 sensor found in the standard model, ensuring consistency in image quality across different focal lengths.
In terms of hardware, both phones are powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 chipset, which should offer smooth performance for multitasking and gaming. Memory options on the Find X8 range from 12GB/256GB to 16GB/512GB, while the Pro model offers configurations up to 1TB. Battery capacity is also ample, with the Find X8 housing a 5,630mAh battery and the Pro variant stepping up to 5,910mAh. Both models support 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging, ideal for users needing quick and flexible power options.
For software, Oppo has included its latest ColorOS 15 on both devices, offering an improved interface with AI-based features aimed at enhancing user experience. The devices are available in multiple colors: the Find X8 comes in Starfield Black, Floating Light White, Chasing Wind Blue, and Bubble Pink, while the Pro is available in Hoshino Black, Cloud White, and Sky Blue.
The Find X8 series will first be available in China, with global availability expected to follow soon. This launch highlights Oppo’s commitment to delivering high-end, camera-centric smartphones that compete with top models on the market.
