The act of saving a location on Google Maps is not novel, but until now, the icons for these saved places have been rather plain and often quite small. This meant users frequently had to zoom in to precisely discern their saved spots.
Now, however, you can replace these conventional icons with emojis, adding a touch of creativity and personality to your saved locations. The process is straightforward: head to the “Saved” location tab within the Google Maps menu, create or edit your list, and then customize the icons with emojis of your choice.

With this newfound feature, you can effortlessly compile a list of your beloved locations and give each one a unique emoji marker. It’s important to note, however, that this emoji customization is not available for Google’s default lists like “Favorites” or “Want to Visit.”
