POCO is rumored to be releasing their latest flagship series, the Poco F5 Pro. Although it has not been officially announced, some rumors about the device’s specifications have been circulating.
The smartphone is said to be a rebranded version of the Redmi K60, which was launched in China last December. This can be seen from leaked specifications from the Geekbench benchmark site. The device is seen to come with a powerful SoC suspected to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. This is the same SoC used on the standard Redmi K60 device.
In addition, the device is also seen to use the Android 13 operating system and is equipped with 12GB of RAM. The highest version of the Redmi K60 even has 16GB/512GB of memory.
Although the upgrades to the Poco F5 Pro may not be as extensive as previous devices that used the highest flagship SoCs of the year, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC is still considered powerful enough for current user needs. Whether as a daily driver or for entertainment purposes, especially for gaming.
However, POCO will need to be able to overcome the SoC’s stability issues. Perhaps by adding a more effective cooling system or tweaking the clock speed so that the temperature can be controlled, even if the performance may not be optimal. Whatever it is, let’s wait and see what POCO will bring when this device is officially released.
