Google usually releases their Pixel smartphones around October. Although the launch date is still far away, rumors about the latest Google Pixel phone have already started to circulate. Now, there is a render image of the Pixel 8 Pro circulating, with a screen size reportedly smaller than that of the Pixel 7 Pro.
The render shared by SmartPrix and OnLeaks shows that the Pixel 8 Pro no longer has a boxy design. The phone appears to have rounded edges, which would make it easy to hold, unlike its predecessor, the Pixel 7 Series.
Meanwhile, the back panel has a camera bar design that is similar to the previous generation. However, the camera configuration is slightly different, with three cameras in an oval-shaped black module and a LED flash and one more sensor of unknown type next to it.
The screen is said to be 6.52 inches, smaller than the 6.7 inches on the Pixel 7 Pro. In addition to being smaller, the Pixel 8 Pro screen in the render is also flat compared to the curved screen on its predecessor.
Other details include a speaker grill at the top of the screen, with a punch-hole selfie camera below it. On the bottom side, there is a USB-C port flanked by two grills, possibly for the speaker and microphone. The power and volume buttons are on the right side, while the SIM tray is on the left side.
It is known that the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro each have the codenames Shiba and Husky, respectively. Both are believed to use the Tensor G3 chipset. However, it should be noted that this information is just a rumor, including the render image, which is not an official release from Google.
