Samsung recently launched the Galaxy S23 series in February 2023. While these flagship phones come with enhanced camera capabilities, some users of the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus have reported a blurriness issue in close-up shots.
Now, Samsung has also confirmed the issue on its community page for Europe. The company stated that a software update is currently being developed to address this problem.
The South Korean company has also explained the reasons behind the issue and provided solutions to prevent the blurriness.
Through its community page, Samsung has confirmed that the area around the subject appears slightly blurry in close-up shots taken with the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus.
The company further explained that the rear wide-angle camera on the S23 and S23 Plus has a wide aperture, which can cause the background of the photos to appear somewhat blurry. Samsung assures that this issue will be fixed through a software update.
Meanwhile, Samsung has shared some tips to mitigate the camera blur issue on the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus.
Samsung recommends users to take pictures from a slightly farther distance or hold the phone vertically while capturing images.
It is also advised that holding the phone horizontally or at an angle can result in a blurry background.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra earlier this year in February.
Both the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus share similarities, including a 6.6-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a refresh rate ranging from 48Hz to 120Hz and a 240Hz touch sampling rate in gaming mode.
These phones are powered by a modified version of the latest Qualcomm chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy.
