Samsung has just announced its latest modem, the Exynos Modem 5300, which is a 5G modem claimed to have very high transfer speeds with very low latency.
According to GSM Arena, the Samsung Exynos Modem 5300 is designed to provide download speeds of up to 10Gbps and upload speeds of up to 3.87Gbps, with support for FR1, FR2, and EN-DC technologies.
Samsung mentioned that the modem also supports cross-generational network connectivity, ranging from 5G, LTE, to 3G and 2G. For LTE, the modem can provide download speeds of up to 3Gbps and upload speeds of up to 422Mbps. For 5G networks, the modem has already supported both NSA and SA modes.
The modem has been processed with the latest 4nm EUV technology, which provides power efficiency and longer battery life for devices that use it. The same modem has also been verified by several global cellular network operators and 3GPP 5G NR Release 16 support to enable easier 5G capabilities.
For now, Samsung has not provided detailed information on the first chipset that will use the modem.
