Samsung Confirms Exynos 2500 Will Power Galaxy S25 Series

Samsung has officially announced that its in-house Exynos 2500 chipset will return to the Galaxy S25 series in select regions. The decision comes after the chip underwent significant development to address previous performance concerns. This marks a notable comeback for the Exynos line, as the Galaxy S23 series exclusively featured Qualcomm Snapdragon processors globally.

The Exynos 2500, built on Samsung’s advanced 3nm fabrication process, aims to close the gap with competitors in terms of power efficiency and performance. Leveraging a custom-designed Neural Processing Unit (NPU) and an upgraded GPU architecture, the chipset is optimized for AI-driven features, better gaming performance, and advanced camera capabilities. Samsung’s partnership with AMD for RDNA GPU technology further enhances its graphical output, targeting a competitive edge in the flagship smartphone market.

Despite skepticism due to past Exynos iterations, Samsung has reiterated its commitment to ensuring the Exynos 2500 meets high-performance standards. Analysts speculate that the Galaxy S25 models with the Exynos variant will launch in regions like Europe and parts of Asia, while Snapdragon-powered versions will cater to North America and select global markets.

With Samsung focusing on efficiency and AI advancements, the Exynos 2500 is poised to play a pivotal role in the Galaxy S25’s success. The upcoming series is expected to debut in early 2025, with more details likely revealed at CES 2024 or during Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event.
