Samsung has confirmed that the second Galaxy Unpacked event of the year, featuring the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5, will take place in South Korea instead of overseas locations like the United States or Spain. This information was directly revealed by a Samsung executive.
As previously rumored, there were speculations that the second Galaxy Unpacked event of the year would be brought forward and held in Samsung’s home country, specifically in the capital city of South Korea, Seoul. Recently, these rumors were affirmed by Lee Young-hee, the President of Samsung DX Global Marketing Center.
According to GSMArena, when asked about the reason behind choosing South Korea as the location for Galaxy Unpacked, Lee Young-hee briefly answered, “Because Korea is significant and important.” However, the exact date for the event has not been disclosed yet.
Rumors suggest that Galaxy Unpacked will take place on July 26, 2023, at the COEX in Gangnam-Gu, Seoul. Additionally, apart from the foldable phones, Samsung is also expected to announce the Galaxy Watch 6 smartwatch and the Galaxy Tab S9 tablet.
As we enter June, it is likely that we will receive more detailed information about Galaxy Unpacked “Volume II” in the coming weeks. So, let’s wait and see.
