Recent data acquired from China’s AnTuTu website has shed light on Samsung’s forthcoming plans. It seems that the company is gearing up to reintroduce its proprietary chipset, set to feature prominently in the upcoming Galaxy S24 series for the next year.
The star of the show is none other than the Exynos 2400 chipset, which is generating a considerable buzz. Rumors swirl around its remarkable 10-core configuration, arranged in a distinctive 1+2+3+4 pattern.
The heart of this powerhouse will be anchored by the Cortex-X4 core, a processing marvel clocked at 3.1GHz. Partnering with it are two clusters of Cortex-A720 cores, cruising along at 2.9GHz. Additionally, three Cortex-A720 cores will hum at 2.6GHz, while a quartet of Cortex-A520 cores chime in at 1.8GHz. The entire architecture will rest upon the solid foundation of ARMv9.
Turning our attention to its graphical prowess, the Exynos 2400 is set to employ the Xclipse 940 GPU, proudly boasting AMD RDNA 2 technology. Drawing parallels with its predecessor, the Xclipse 920 GPU, it harnesses the might of three Workgroup Processors (WGP), with each harboring two computational units. Envisioning a more robust future, the Xclipse 940 is primed to flaunt a total of six WGP units, a staggering 12 GPU cores in total.
Beyond the sheer power, this chipset is tailored to accommodate LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, elevating the performance even further. Stepping into the world of imaging, the Image Signal Processor (ISP) holds the capability to endorse resolutions scaling up to 320 MP. As for capturing the moving moments, it promises video recording prowess of up to 8K at a smooth 60 FPS. Remarkably, the Exynos 2400 seems poised to integrate seamlessly with the Exynos 5300 modem, completing a comprehensive package.
