Samsung Galaxy A36 Appears on Geekbench, Expected to Feature Snapdragon SoC

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy A36 has made its first appearance on Geekbench, offering an early glimpse of its performance and specifications. Listed under the model number SM-A366B, the device showcased solid results with a 1060 single-core score and a 3070 multi-core score. Powered by Android 15, the Galaxy A36 features an octa-core ARMv8 setup, with four cores clocked at 1.80 GHz and another four running at 2.40 GHz.

From the Geekbench test results, it’s revealed that the Galaxy A36 will come with a GPU Adreno 710, suggesting that the SoC could be either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 or the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. Both chipsets are built on Qualcomm’s 4nm process and include 5G support, marking a shift from the Exynos 1380 chipset used in the Galaxy A35. This upgrade to Snapdragon signals Samsung’s intention to improve performance and power efficiency in its mid-range line.

Additionally, the device is expected to offer approximately 5.20 GB of RAM, which hints at a 6GB RAM variant for smooth multitasking and app management. These specs suggest that the Galaxy A36 will provide a reliable user experience, striking a balance between performance and efficiency, ideal for users looking for a capable mid-range smartphone.

With these benchmark scores, it’s clear that Samsung is stepping up its game in the mid-range sector, ensuring that the Galaxy A36 will stand out among its competitors. However, more details about the camera, battery life, and other features are yet to be officially confirmed.

Samsung is expected to reveal additional details as the launch approaches, but the Geekbench appearance indicates a promising release for the next addition to the Galaxy A series. Keep an eye out for more updates regarding pricing, availability, and other specifications.
