Samsung is rumored to be launching two new foldable smartphones in the coming months. Although they have not been officially launched yet, @OnLeaks, a well-known leaker, has released new render images that are believed to be the designs for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 and Flip5.
From the render images, it can be seen that the screen design for Galaxy Z Flip5 will have a larger outer screen of around 3.2 inches compared to the previous version which was only 1.9 inches.
Galaxy Z Fold5 will have a smaller body design with dimensions of around 154.9 x 129.9 x 6.1 mm. When folded, the dimensions will be 154.9 x 67.1 x 13.4 mm. The thickness of Fold5 is due to its thinner hinge compared to its predecessor, which still has a thickness of around 14.2-15.8 mm when folded.
Galaxy Z Fold5 will have a 6.2-inch outer screen and a 7.6-inch inner screen, as well as thinner bezels.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip5 will have dimensions of 165 x 71.8 x 6.7mm when opened, with a hinge that is 0.2mm thinner than its predecessor. Both of Samsung’s foldable devices are rumored to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is also used in the Samsung Galaxy S23 Series.
The official launch for both devices is expected to be in the third quarter of 2023.
