Qualcomm is known to be preparing its latest flagship chipset, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, for release this year. Recently, the AnTuTu v10 test results of the chipset have been circulating, showing an outstanding score of 1,771,106 points!
It should be noted that these benchmark scores cannot be taken as a definitive measure for the mass-produced product. However, it is a positive indication that Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will have a significant improvement compared to its previous generations.
For reference, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, released at the end of last year, had an AnTuTu score of around 1.2 million points. This chipset has already been found in 2023 flagship smartphones, offering powerful and stable performance.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is highly likely to be introduced at the Snapdragon Summit 2023. Qualcomm has confirmed that the annual event will take place on October 24th in Maui, Hawaii.
According to rumors, SD8 Gen 3 will be manufactured using TSMC’s N4P (4nm) technology and will feature a 1+5+2 configuration. It will consist of 1x Cortex-X4, 5x Cortex-A720, and 2x Cortex A520 cores. The GPU will be Adreno 750, and it will also have a 10MB L3 cache.
It is said that the Xiaomi 14 Series will be the first smartphone to use this chipset. Xiaomi is expected to launch its flagship phone in November 2023, followed by other Chinese brands such as iQOO, vivo, OnePlus, and Realme.
