Qualcomm is reportedly set to launch the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which will have higher speeds and a new CPU architecture.
According to a tipster, the latest chip will have one Cortex-X4 CPU core with a speed of 3.7 GHz. This is significantly higher than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which has a maximum clockspeed of 3.2GHz with a Cortex X3 CPU core.
The configuration used will be five powerful CPU cores for performance, and two smaller CPU cores for efficiency. This new model will be given the serial number SM8650 and the GPU is called Adreno 750.
It is expected that TSMC will continue to produce this chip using the more efficient N4P process technology, which is more affordable and ready for mass production than the N3 process technology that is also available.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is expected to be launched soon and is anticipated to provide better performance than its predecessors.
