Sony Xperia 5 V Ready to Launch This Year, Comes with 33W Power

Although it may no longer be officially sold in Indonesia, Sony still frequently releases its smartphone devices, the Sony Xperia series, for the global market. Now, the company is reportedly ready to launch the Xperia 5 V as the successor to the Xperia 5 IV that was released last year in 2022.

According to the latest leaks, the Sony Xperia 5 V with the code XQ-DQ72 is listed on the 3C certification, which indicates that the device will have charging power of up to 33W (11V/3A). Unfortunately, the same data does not mention the charger that will be included, so it’s likely that Sony will not provide an adapter charger in the same sales package.

As for its specifications, the Xperia 5 V was previously listed on Geekbench as using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset based on a 4nm TSMC fabrication process, which includes 1 Cortex-X3 Super Core, 2x Cortex-A715, 2x Cortex-A710 P-Cores, and 3x Cortex-A510 E-Cores.

In addition, Geekbench data also shows that the device will have at least 16 GB of RAM, which means that the device will have good multitasking capabilities.

It is not yet certain when Sony will officially launch the Xperia 5 V, but predictions suggest that the device may be announced around the third quarter or early fourth quarter of 2023.
