In a long-anticipated move, Tecno has officially announced the imminent arrival of their clamshell foldable smartphone. Through a stylish poster titled “Flip In Style,” Tecno has scheduled the debut of the Phantom V Flip at a launch event in Singapore on September 22, 2023.
This choice of Singapore as the launch location strongly suggests that Tecno intends to introduce the Phantom V Flip to a global audience. In doing so, Tecno is gearing up to take on heavyweight competitors in the foldable flip phone market, including the likes of Samsung, Oppo, and Motorola.
The Tecno Phantom V Flip has been making rounds in the rumor mill, often accompanied by renders. One distinctive feature that has been garnering attention is its somewhat unique external display—a circular design. Although it is relatively compact, measuring 1.32 inches, it is centrally positioned within a camera circle.
In terms of specifications, the Phantom V Flip is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8050 chipset and boasts a primary 6.75-inch AMOLED foldable display.
