The Vivo X90s smartphone was announced on June 26, 2023, in China, with mid-range specifications.
Like other X series phones from Vivo, the Vivo X90s is also expected to offer an extraordinary photography experience.
Through Weibo, Vivo’s Vice President and GM of Product Strategy, Jia Jingdong, explained that previous X series phones offered two main color expressions: the vibrant colors of Vivo and the natural colors of Zeiss.
Vivo’s vibrant colors aim to capture beauty that goes beyond what the eye can see, while Zeiss focuses on presenting the world in its original form with high definition and sharpness.
Now, a new addition called “vivo texture color,” inspired by the era of classic film cameras, will give users the ability to create personalized masterpieces with rich colors and capture everyday scenes with human emotions.
To showcase the results of the new color expression, Jingdong shared an example of the Vivo X90S camera below. He also confirmed that the Vivo X90s will come in a new color called “Qingyang,” which is a derivative of cyan.
Reports reveal that the X90s will be equipped with the Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset and offer Wi-Fi 7 connectivity.
Other specifications are likely to remain the same as the Vivo X90 announced last November.
Therefore, the Vivo X90s is expected to feature a triple camera setup of 50 megapixels (main) + 12 megapixels (ultra-wide) + 12 megapixels (telephoto), and a 32-megapixel front camera. It will run on Android 13 based on OriginOS 3.0.
The X90s will feature LPDDR5x RAM up to 12 GB and UFS 4.0 storage up to 512 GB. It will house a 4,810mAh battery with 100W fast charging.
It will have a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display. It will offer a Full HD+ resolution of 1260 x 2800 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
