The upcoming Apple iPhone 15 lineup, set to be released in 2023, is reported to feature a significant increase in battery capacity. This upgrade will be applicable to all models, ranging from the standard iPhone 15 to the Pro Max.
Rumors originating from “internal” sources at Foxconn reveal that the iPhone 15 will have a battery capacity of 3,877mAh, while the iPhone 15 Plus will boast 4,192mAh. In contrast, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will have capacities of 3,650mAh and 4,852mAh, respectively.
Compared to the iPhone 14 lineup from last year, these figures represent a 12 to 18 percent increase. This is quite significant for iPhones, as Apple’s smartphones will finally approach the nearly 5,000mAh mark, which has become a standard for many Android phones nowadays.
It’s important to note that this information is currently based on rumors, and the sources are not entirely clear. However, considering the previous leaks suggesting that the iPhone 15 lineup might be slightly thicker, it could be due to the increased battery capacity.
The iPhone 15 is expected to be powered by the A16 Bionic and A17 Bionic chipsets. Additionally, all models are rumored to feature the Dynamic Island notch design. Traditionally, Apple unveils their latest iPhones in September, so we’ll have to wait and see!
